Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to everyone who uses MarketPort. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them.

Accounts

  • You must give true information and keep your password secret.
  • One person or business may not use another person's identity.
  • MarketPort may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Orders and payment

  • Prices are set by suppliers and shown before you pay.
  • Payment is made by mobile money and held by MarketPort until delivery is confirmed.
  • Delivery fees are shown at checkout and charged once per supplier.

Delivery and confirmation

  • Check your goods before confirming delivery or giving your delivery code.
  • If you do not confirm or report a problem within the waiting period after dispatch, payment is released to the supplier automatically.

Problems and refunds

  • Report problems before confirming delivery. MarketPort will review both sides and decide whether to release the payment or refund you.
  • Refunds are sent to the mobile money number that paid.

Suppliers

  • Suppliers must be verified before selling and must describe products honestly.
  • Suppliers must only accept orders they can supply and must dispatch them promptly.
  • MarketPort keeps a commission on the goods value of each completed order.

MarketPort may update these terms. The latest version is always on this page.
